Through interviews and focus group discussions, AKRSPI gathered information about the possible impact of spot exchange, storage and warehouse receipts on the lives of the farmers. Discussions took place between November 16, 2009 and December 31, 2009, immediately following the harvest season in November. All information obtained was qualitative in nature, and is described in the Results section.
